Pupil Premium

Sports Premium Funding
We’re committed to our development of Physical Education (P.E.), sport and physical activity provision. We provide a number of opportunities for pupils to be active. The school has 2 halls, 2 playgrounds and a large field for games, PE and sports.
The school utilises a number of strategies for the delivery of quality PE:
- In house PE lead sport coach to support the delivery of PE in the curriculum with all age groups. Furthermore develop the clubs at lunchtimes and after school as well as providing quality sporting opportunities as part of the breakfast club.
- Football, Rugby, Street dance, Skateboarding and Basketball sessions are provided to all pupils in Years 1-6 throughout the year.
- Lunchtime and after school clubs are available to provide Key Stage 1 & 2 pupils, both boys and girls, the opportunity to participate in the following activities:
- Football
- Hockey
- Multi-sports
- Gymnastics
- Basketball
- Dodgeball
- Ninja Warriors
- Rugby
- Tennis
- Athletics
- Skateboarding
The school has received a grant to improve PE & Sport during the 2023-2024 academic year. This money will support new and current sporting activities at Medlock Primary School. The money will also be spent on external coaching for quality CPD teaching throughout the school.
