Autumn 2 - Letter from Mr Brown
Good Morning
Biscuit Sale - Thank you!
We have been holding irregular biscuit sales to raise money for the school fund (this money is used to subsidise school trips amongst other things). They are always very popular as yesterday's proved. Thank you everyone who stopped and bought a biscuit. As it is so popular we have decided that we will try to hold one every week.
Thank you also to the Co-op Young Leaders who are helping to organise the events as well as doing the fetching and carrying on the day.
We will also take the opportunity to distribute any goods that come into school for community projects. Yesterday we were able to give away a variety of hygiene products, the donation of which was arranged by the Community team at Co-op. Whatever comes in, we will hand out!
Lost Property - Coats, Coats and more Coats!
We have loads of coats being left in school. If you are missing a coat please come and have a dig. They are to be found on the coat racks just inside school past the main office. We will also take the racks outside whenever we are having a biscuit sale.
A Message from Mayfield
Our friends at Mayfields have asked us to let you know about the following event. There will be a public consultation for the proposed 900 new homes at Mayfield and the 30% extension of Mayfield Park. The consultation will be held in Ardwick next Monday between 3pm to 7pm at the St Thomas' Centre on Ardwick Green.
Please go along and have your voices heard.
Winter Fair
Some sad news to close. Unfortunately, we will not be holding a winter fair this year. They take a great deal of time and effort to pull together and as key members of staff are having to commit more time to their leadership roles both here in school and as well as across the trust (a great recognition of their abilities), we simply don’t have the manpower to get it organised.
I can only say sorry for this as I know it is something the children enjoy, but we know our friends and neighbours will be holding community events towards the end of term.
